We have been selling antiques for almost 25 years and are well known within the collecting world of Arts and Crafts. Though Iowa natives, our business was started in Northern California and the San Francisco Bay Area where we lived until 1990. We bought antiques in the Midwest and sold them in the Bay Area for 16 years. Phil acquired some Stickley and Limbert pieces on one of his many cross country trips in the early 80's. The quality, design and rarity of the furniture sparked a new interest for him. A few years later, we were dealing almost exclusively in Arts and Crafts furniture, lighting and accessories. We moved back to the Midwest with our two daughters to be closer to family. We settled in Ottumwa, Iowa and built a large shop from which we sell antiques and reproduction mission oak furniture. We strive to sell antique furniture at reasonable prices from a wide variety of manufacturers of the time period.
We have been selling reproduction mission oak furniture for 10 years. The pieces are of excellent design and quality and are time-tested, faithful reproductions. We commission the work from several woodworkers, and Phil puts on a finish that compliments most interiors and blends very well with both antique and new furniture.
For those of you traveling through the state but unable to visit Ottumwa, we have a large booth at the 'Majestic Lion Antique Mall' in Des Moines. This mall is located on Interstate 80 at the Second Avenue exit and is close to the I-80/I-35 interchange.
We invite you to visit our shop. Please call ahead for shop hours. Or, visit us at the many antique shows at which we sell, primarily in the Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul areas. We do a few local, Iowa shows and are regular exhibitors at the annual 'Grove Park Inn Arts and Crafts Conference' in Asheville, N.C., the annual Twin Cities Arts and Crafts Show and the Sandwich, Illinois Antique Market.
